Guwahati City

Guwahati is the largest city and the capital of the Indian state of Assam. It is also the largest metropolis in northeastern India and serves as the economic and cultural hub of the region. The city is situated on the southern bank of the Brahmaputra River and is known for its natural beauty and rich cultural heritage. Guwahati is also a major transportation hub, serving as a gateway to the northeastern region of India.

The city is known for its ancient temples and shrines, including the Kamakhya Temple, a famous Shakti Peetha, and the Umananda Temple, located on a small island in the Brahmaputra river.
